The pandemic has pushed an already neglected population into deeper despair.
Entry and exit points to the Tibetan settlement including Monasteries and Village camps/shops have been sealed shut since March 2020 and consequences now are heavy.
No tourists, no education, no food, no income. Monks are not being fed by the monastery to prevent spread of illness - they are cooking and studying in their dorms and supporting themselves.
Tibetan refugee families continue to struggle with no income. Vegetables and fruits are rare!
